WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) is joining the F.L.E.O. Foundation and Police Unity Tour in calling on Americans to honor the law enforcement officers and other heroes whose lives were lost as a result of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
On Friday, September 11, the F.L.E.O. Foundation and Police Unity Tour will host a 9/11 Fallen Hero Ceremony at 4 p.m. at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., marking 25 years since the deadliest terrorist attack in American history.
The ceremony will honor 668 fallen 9/11 heroes and include a roll call of their names at the memorial. Organizers have invited law enforcement officers, their families, supporters and members of the public to attend the ceremony, rain or shine, to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
“Twenty-five years later, the courage and sacrifice we witnessed on September 11 remain forever etched into the history of our nation and the law enforcement community,” said FLEOA National President Mathew Silverman. “We owe it to every officer, first responder and family who carried the burden of that day to make sure their sacrifice is never forgotten. Their names, their service and their legacy deserve to be remembered not only on this anniversary, but by every generation that follows.”
The ceremony will be held at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, located on the 400 block of E Street NW between 4th and 5th Streets NW at Judiciary Square.
As part of the commemoration, Relentless Defender has also designed a special 9/11 memorial shirt honoring the fallen. Thirty percent of the proceeds from each shirt sold will be donated to the F.L.E.O. Foundation and Police Unity Tour, both nonprofit charitable organizations dedicated to supporting the law enforcement community and honoring those who have fallen in the line of duty.
“For the law enforcement community, ‘Never Forget’ has never been simply a slogan,” Silverman continued. “It is a promise. We remember those who ran toward danger when others were running away, those who continued serving in the days and months that followed, and those whose lives were ultimately claimed by the lasting consequences of September 11.”
FLEOA encourages its members and supporters across the country to join the ceremony in person or take time on September 11 to honor the fallen and remember the extraordinary courage displayed by America’s law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders and citizens on one of the darkest
days in our nation’s history.
