Christopher Shayne Announces New Single Ahead of Thunder Valley Rally Headlining Performance

Arizona’s “Wild West rock” band will release the stand-alone track on September 18 following sessions with producer Brian Howes.

PHOENIX, AZ, UNITED STATES, August 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — “Wild West” country desert sounding rock band, Christopher Shayne, is pleased to announce it will release a new stand-alone single on September 18, 2026, the same day the Arizona band headlines the Thunder Valley Rally in Cottonwood. Written and recorded during sessions on Vancouver Island with songwriter and producer Brian Howes, the track will arrive as a separate release from the band’s forthcoming High Noon album.

The announcement marks the latest development in a busy period for Christopher Shayne. The band began introducing the High Noon era in October 2025 with the first release connected to the album, which was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Shooter Jennings. The title track followed in April 2026, bringing the group’s mix of Southern rock, outlaw country, and blues into sharper focus.

In June, the band released “Coming Around,” an Americana-influenced song grounded in its country roots. Its accompanying music video features actors Tyler Nolan and Avary Anderson in a small-town setting, pairing the track with a cinematic visual narrative shaped by open roads, local landmarks and the character of rural America.

The upcoming single grew from a separate writing and recording experience with Howes, a Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter known for his work with artists including Hinder and Skillet. Although it shares the direct, guitar-driven character of Christopher Shayne’s recent material, the song will not appear on High Noon. Its independent release gives the band room to explore another side of the sound it describes as “Wild West rock.”

“We’re the Wild West sound coming out of Arizona—born in the desert, raised on loud guitars and always chasing the next horizon,” says Christopher Shayne. “We don’t believe in standing still. We’re constantly forging new music, taking risks and creating something that feels like it could only come from us. This isn’t just what we do—it’s our way of life.”

That identity has developed over years of touring. Christopher Shayne has appeared at NASCAR events, Country Thunder, motorcycle rallies and Professional Bull Riders events, while sharing stages with artists such as ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Dwight Yoakam, Blackberry Smoke, Cody Jinks, Fuel, and Shooter Jennings. Performances across the American Southwest and in Europe have also influenced the band’s approach to songwriting and live production.
Rather than staying within a single genre, Christopher Shayne draws from country storytelling, blues phrasing and the weight of hard-rock guitar. The result reflects the landscape surrounding the band: expansive, rough-edged and tied closely to Arizona. That combination runs through the recent singles while allowing each release to take a different direction.

The September release will coincide with Christopher Shayne’s headlining appearance at the Thunder Valley Rally in Cottonwood. The band is scheduled to perform from 8:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, September 18, closing the rally’s opening day of live music.
