ALPHARETTA, GA – July 07, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Horst Shewmaker, LLC has announced scholarship awards totaling $2,500 for five summer interns participating in the Georgia personal injury law firm’s 2024 internship program. The recipients — Maci Eisen, Wyatt Stewart, Andy Horst, Sameer Syed, and Borno Hossain — each received $500 scholarships while gaining hands-on legal experience at the Alpharetta-based firm.
The scholarship recipients represent three of the Southeast’s most competitive universities: Georgia Tech, Florida State University, and the University of Georgia. The students worked alongside the firm’s five-attorney team, including Michael W. Horst, Zachary S. Shewmaker, Jarrett L. Miller, Torrie L. Dale, and Valerie Jane Pallos, gaining direct exposure to personal injury law practice.
“These five exceptional students have demonstrated remarkable dedication to understanding how Georgia’s evolving legal landscape impacts injury victims,” said Zachary S. Shewmaker, Partner at Horst Shewmaker, LLC. “Maci, Wyatt, Andy, Sameer, and Borno each brought unique perspectives to our practice while working on real cases affected by Senate Bill 68, Georgia’s most comprehensive tort reform in nearly two decades. The Horst Shewmaker Summer Interns Scholarship recognizes their commitment to professional excellence and their potential to shape how legal services are delivered to injury victims across our state.”
The internship program provides students with substantive legal work experience across the firm’s practice areas, including car accidents, motorcycle crashes, truck accidents, pedestrian incidents, premises liability, and wrongful death cases. Participants gain practical exposure to case management, client advocacy, and the complexities of personal injury litigation in Georgia’s changing regulatory environment.
Horst Shewmaker, LLC, which has recovered more than $30 million for Georgia personal injury clients and was recently voted Best of Georgia 2025, views the Summer Interns Scholarship program as an investment in the future of legal services in Georgia. The firm’s commitment to developing emerging legal talent reflects its broader mission of strengthening the professional community that serves injury victims throughout the state.
The scholarship awards represent part of the firm’s ongoing efforts to support educational advancement and professional development in the legal field. By combining financial support with meaningful work experience, the program aims to prepare students for careers that will directly impact how personal injury victims receive legal representation in Georgia and beyond.
